Brooke Faught, DNP, WHNP-BC, NCMP, FAANP, IF

Dr. Faught is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC) with advanced training in female sexual medicine, pelvic floor disorders, urogynecology, menopause management, and vulvar disease. She earned her BSN at The Ohio State University, her MSN at the University of Pennsylvania, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Vanderbilt University where she studied social boundaries in young-adult women with Down syndrome as a foundation for sexuality education.
In 2005, she founded the Women’s Institute for Sexual Health (WISH) in Nashville, TN, serving as Director for nearly 2 decades. In July 2025, she launched the Sexual Health Institute (SHI for Women), a private medical practice in Brentwood, TN, where she provides specialized women’s health services to individuals across the lifespan.
Dr. Faught is a Certified Menopause Practitioner through The Menopause Society (MSCP), a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (IF) and a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP). She served on the ISSWSH Board of Directors from 2019-2024 and the NPWH Board of Directors from 2012–2017 including her roles as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. In addition, she maintains an adjunct faculty appointment at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
Dr. Faught lives in Brentwood, TN with her husband, Jonathan, her three daughters, Clara, Lily, and Elle, and her two spoiled dogs, Bronx and Greta-Rose.
